We've been a little out of the loop with blogland as of late--we went to visit my parents in Texas for 8 nights at the end of April and thus haven't done much around our own house. So since there's not much to report from the Mull Mansion right now, I thought I would do a guest feature of sorts on another house--my parents! While we were visiting, I took a few pictures of some of my favorite pieces at their house.
This was my dresser growing up, from my dad's side of the family.
My mom bought this desk at an antique store--it's over 100 years old and has an engraving on the top.
This high boy is from my maternal grandmother and sits in my parents bedroom (much of the furniture in my house and my mom and dad's is from her!).
This marble top dresser serves as my dad's bedside table (from same grandmother).
This secretary was my maternal grandfather's and is in my mom's study.
This chest was my paternal great grandmother's and is in my parents dining room--my favorite piece!
So that's all--as I write Mr. Mull is painting our other guest bedroom and we hope to be done by the weekend--post soon to follow!

Katherine,
ReplyDeleteI have an iron/copper peice on my hearth, that my Nanny gave me many years ago. She told me that it belonged to Great-Aunt Joanne. I will have to snap a picture of it and share it with you.
